Kino & Eesti Maja – Friday Sep 28th, Sydney

The Estonian Film Festival Australia (EFFA) and Sydney Eesti Selts (SES) are proud to present….

KiNO! #11 @ Estonian House Sydney on Friday, the 28th of September!

18:30 – 19:00
‘aeg ei peatu’ (As Time Goes On) – [M] 2012

Genre: Comedy / Romance

The only thing Malle hates more than following her daughters ridiculous health rules is having to get out of bed at all.
Today when her daughter leaves her alone, someone knocks on the door and forces the old woman to choose: stay in bed and hopefully die soon or get up. Malle has to make an important decision.
This is a film that answers critics of Estonian film being only about miserable Estonians. It isn’t – even if it’s shot in typical Estonian weather.
This little film is like a shot of schnapps that will leave you feeling very warm on the inside.

Director: Moonika Siimets

Staring: Ene Järvis, Feliks Kark, Carita Vaikjärv

19:00 – 19:30
A short intermission where you can grab some finger food and a drink from the bar.

19:30 – 21:30
‘Pärnography – mees animatsoonist’ (Pärnography – A Man From Animation) – [M] 2005

Genre: Documentary

What more can be said about Priit Pärn, one of the most recognised, copied, influential, individual and living animators of our time? Nothing really, but this is a great documentary that tells you why he is these things to a great many people.
Shot in 2004/5, it follows Pärn around and gives us a glimpse in to what it’s like to be him and how he builds his ideas into so capturing and multiple-layered artwork.

Director: Hardi Volmer

Stars: Priit Pärn
