EACCI Presents: Cyber Security Education – Adelaide meets Tallinn, April 29

This session is part of the EACCI new peer-to-peer series that focuses on sharing the expertise of their members

Since 2015, the University of Adelaide and the Tallinn University of Technology have collaborated in mutual study tours in cyber security. In this talk, Dr Matthew Sorell will explain how the collaboration got started, what the study tours do in Tallinn and Adelaide, and why this program is so valuable for both Australian and Estonian students.

Dr Matthew Sorell is senior lecturer in telecommunications, multimedia and digital forensic science at the University of Adelaide, and Adjunct Professor of Digital Forensics at the Tallinn University of Technology. A true Eestiphile, he would normally be in Tallinn three times a year. Dr Sorell is also a member of the INTERPOL Digital Forensics Experts Group, Scientific Adviser to FORMOBILE, an EU-funded research project on mobile phone forensics standardisation, an early e-Resident and, despite no known Estonian heritage, an active supporter of the South Australian Estonian community.
