The need for our own cultural hub in Western Australia is getting more and more pressing as time goes by. We have a thriving Estonian community here, wouldn’t it be awesome to have a place where we can hang out together beyond just Christmas and the occasional Estonian holidays or events?
This year, we have actively taken steps towards starting an Estonian Cultural Association in Western Australia, EstWest. We have submitted the application to become an incorporated association – waiting for the assessment now.
With our official association registered and awaiting confirmation, we are now seeking individuals interested in joining the club and contributing to the development of a strong community and association.
Let’s exchange stories, generate ideas, and preserve our traditions in this diverse Aussie environment. This isn’t exclusive to specific individuals; it’s for long-time expats, newcomers and everyone in between – from those contemplating settling down to the fresh-faced Estonian descendants born right here in Australia.
This Sunday’s gathering, featuring stand-up comedian Sander Õigus, aims to unite people to discuss ideas, listen to the community’s needs and kickstart efforts to strengthen our WA community.
While our long-term dream is to have our very own Eesti Maja here in WA, accomplishing that goal depends on community’s involvement.
So, mark your calendars and join our Facebook event page! This Sunday, 25th of February, 3pm!
Bring along your crew – friends, colleagues, and the entire family, including children.
We are excited to hear from each and every one of you!
