Tickets for Eesti Päevad 2027, taking place in Sydney from 8–11 April 2027, are now on sale! The festival program features an impressive 100 events, with nearly half of them free to attend.
There is something for everyone, with four days packed with culture, music, dance, opportunities to reconnect with old friends, make new ones and celebrate all things Estonian.
What’s on the program?
Thursday, 8 April – Let the celebrations begin!
The festival kicks off with an opening ceremony, followed by a lively mix of concerts, workshops and activities. Learn some line dancing, join a poetry hour, enjoy a choir or piano concert, try your hand at Sip & Paint, or catch a documentary screening. Younger festivalgoers can look forward to a cooking class, children’s disco and movie night, while the evening brings a performance by Jericho.
Friday, 9 April – Something for everyone
Start the day with a scenic Sydney run, a round of golf or a silent disco sightseeing tour. Music lovers can enjoy performances by Inga and Toomas Lunge, violin music and Estonian folk tunes. There’s also theatre, an art and craft exhibition, a handicraft fair and workshops ranging from public speaking to jewellery making. Children can enjoy sports, games, crafts and dancing, while Eesti Maja Salakõrts offers another place to gather.
Saturday, 10 April – A celebration of Estonian culture
Saturday’s highlight is the Culture Day – Dance and Song Festival, bringing Estonian music and dance together in grand style. The program also features a concert by the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, harp music, a fashion show, regilaul (traditional Estonian runic singing) and an exclusive preview of the upcoming film Vabaduse sõda. There are plenty of hands-on activities too, including jewellery making, chocolate truffle workshops and Estonian language lessons, alongside pancakes, yoga and creative activities for children.
Sunday, 11 April – One last day together
The final day begins with sunrise beach yoga and a pancake morning, followed by more music, workshops and opportunities to connect. Highlights include a panel discussion celebrating 100 years of Estonians in Sydney, a screening of the documentary Puudutus, salsa dancing and sessions exploring everything from wellbeing to entrepreneurship. Children can enjoy singing and playing in Estonian, as well as a concert by Võlukeeled, before the festival wraps up with a sunset Darling Harbour cruise.
Even free events require registration, as places are limited. So don’t leave booking until the last minute!
