What we need from you:
Send us your written content attached as a .doc, PDF file, or in the email body, and attach high-resolution images.
- Title: Catchy and informative.
- Featured Image: Eye-catching visuals to accompany your submission.
- Author Name: Let us know who’s behind the news or story.
- Body of Text: The main content – your article, story, news, or update.
- Additional Media: Enhance your submission with photos, videos, or relevant links.
Note: Ensure images are high-quality, and include proper attribution with your submission.
Content Guidelines
- Relevance: Keep your content pertinent to the interests of the Estonian community in Australia.
- Language: We publish in English or Estonian and English.
- Timeliness: Submit timely news and events to keep the community informed and engaged.
- Accuracy: Ensure the information you provide is accurate and fact-checked.
- Copyright: Respect intellectual property rights; submit only original work or ensure you have the right to share the content.
- Length: Aim for a balance – concise enough to engage, but comprehensive to convey your message.
- Respect: Be mindful of cultural sensitivities and maintain a respectful tone. Avoid content that may alienate or discriminate. Profane or obscene content will not be published.
- Non-Promotional: While sharing events and activities is encouraged, overtly promotional content may not be suitable.
By adhering to these guidelines, you contribute to creating a positive and enriching space for the Estonian community in Australia.
Publishing Schedule
- We publish incoming news as they are delivered. We endeavour to publish within 48 hours of receipt, but as volunteers, we cannot guarantee this timeframe. If your content is urgent, please make that clear in the subject line.
- Posts of the day are automatically sent to our subscribers the following morning (approx. 10am AEDT).
- Event Summaries – Ideally within 3-5 days of the event conclusion, if not sooner.
- Month in Review – if you want your story to be shown in the month in review, we should receive it by three days before calendar month end at most.
