EESTI 95. AASTAPÄEVA PIKNIK HAISAAREL / ESTONIAN PICNIC ON SHARK ISLAND

For several years now, Estonian Independence Day Picnic on SharkIsland has been an important part of the Estonian calendar in Sydney. Every year on this special day only, Shark island turns into an “EstonianTerritory”. It’s a perfect place to meet new people or have a great time with some old friends.
This year, on Sunday, 24. February, E-Club in Sydney is proudly hosting the event and it’s going to be bigger and better than ever.

This year’s entertainment guest is already well known Bruce – our “Australian Meie Mees” – with his wife Haruna
Estonian tunes are brought to you by Karin Kapsi on cello and Joosep Kõrvits with his guitar.
If you are playing any musical instruments then take it with you!
Also, there is opportunity to learn some Estonian folk dances – taught by folk dance group Virmalised dancers
Transport To Shark Island
Transport is organised by ferries. Contact the organisers to get the ticket. Ferries are departing from DarlingHarbour and Circular Quay from 1.15 and then in every 45 minutes! Contact the organisers to prebook your ticket early!
Tickets are on sale from E-club till 21/02 with 30$, from 22/02 40$ and on 24th 50$

The price includes…
– National Park admission fees
– ferry transfers to and from the island
– Live and recorded Estonian music on the island
Please note that Shark island has toilets and water, but no gas, electricity or BBQ. It’s part of a world famous national park, so please make sure to leave NO rubbish on the island when you leave.
